Lillestrøm hosts one of the most active grid connection points in the Oslo region, with Frogner transformatorstasjon serving as the anchor for 229 MW of queued datacentre consumption and over 90 MW of solar production reservations. Statnett and Elvia have undertaken substantial grid upgrades — including the rehabilitation of Frogner transformatorstasjon and multiple new distribution substations — to accommodate growing demand.
