Overview

The municipality hosts several large operational wind farms including the 256 MW Roan and 144 MW Storheia projects, establishing it as a key renewable energy production center in Trøndelag. Strong industrial demand is emerging with 253 MW of consumption projects in the grid queue, including a 150 MW hydrogen facility and 80 MW petroleum platform electrification.
