Overview

The municipality is experiencing major transformation with Statnett's new Eiker transformer station serving as a central connection point for multiple high-voltage transmission lines. This grid infrastructure development has attracted substantial solar project interest, with over 130 MW of solar projects in various stages of development through both concessions and grid queue reservations.

Recent Activity

Two new projects entered the grid queue in April 2026: a 25 MW solar project by Hafslund Magnora Sol AS and a 2 MW consumption project by Sollibergene Utvikling AS, both connecting at Flesaker station.

Outlook

Excellent prospects for renewable energy development, particularly solar, driven by the strategic new Eiker transformer station and multiple high-voltage connections. The concentration of grid infrastructure makes this an attractive location for large-scale energy projects, with Flesaker station serving as the primary connection point for current solar developments.
