Vestby hosts one of the Oslo region's most strategically important transmission nodes, with Statnett's Langerud switching station and multiple 420 kV lines converging at Tegneby. This infrastructure is drawing heavy interest from hyperscale datacenter operators — led by Microsoft, WS Computing, and others — representing nearly 900 MW of consumption in the grid queue. Solar and hydro producers are also actively reserving capacity at Tegneby TRA, signalling broad multi-sector momentum.
