Nærøysund hosts a mature wind energy portfolio anchored by the operational Hundhammerfjellet and Ytre Vikna facilities, with major repowering and expansion projects in progress totalling over 300 MW of wind capacity. Tensio TN is upgrading the regional grid infrastructure with a new 170 kV submarine cable across Folda and a voltage upgrade from 66 kV to 132 kV toward Namsos, signalling significant capacity investment.
